INCOSE Fellow Richard Stevens

Dr. Richard Stevens, Quality Systems and Software Limited (QSS) Technical Director and originator of DOORS, is an acknowledged expert in systems and requirements engineering. He leads the evolution of QSS requirements management product (DOORS), the range of Enterprise Vision products, and associated toolsets. He has acted as consultant, auditor and trainer for many QSS commercial and government clients. Richard created many of the QSS methodology courses and is in demand as a presenter and educator, working with senior engineering management and with systems engineers. He has supported the start-up of major customer projects, chairs requirements workshops, lectures on a range of systems-related topics and has led development of standards for systems engineering. His current special interest is in Innovation, both from a theory side and in producing new products for QSS. He was elected a fellow of INCOSE for his contribution to Systems Engineering. Prior to establishing QSS, Richard was the Head of Methodology, Technology and Quality for Information Systems at the European Space Agency. Richard is a co-author of Systems Engineering - Coping with Complexity published in 1998 by Prentice Hall.
